| Pete's Phantom Pile Driver. This toy was built in 2006 to look 1916 vintage. Based on a steam driven pile driver on skids, this toy uses a Keystone pressed steel boiler house mounted to a custom wood sled and leads. Built to be just as sturdy as a toy in 1916 should be, this pile driver plays like the real thing. The hammer is operated by pulling a handle out and back from under the back of the toy which pulls line over what would be the real drum and up to the leads, operating the hammer up and down. This thing is a load of fun! |
